Pilster Great Plains Lecture

The annual Pilster Great Plains Lecture series is presented by the Mari Sandoz Heritage Society and supported by the Esther and Raleigh Pilster Endowment.

The mission of the lecture series is to bring speakers of national renown to the Chadron State College campus for the benefit of the college and residents of the high plains of Western Nebraska. The lecture is always free to the public.

This day-long, annual event follows the Pilster Lecture in the fall each year. The format is known for its casual and open discussion. So come, wear your jeans and learn with us.

Story Catcher Workshop
May 2013

Each spring the Mari Sandoz Heritage Society hosts a two-day workshop for writers of poetry, fiction and non-fiction on the Chadron State College campus. Writers of all levels, ages 16 and up, were invited to attend. It is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring writers to gain insight from noted authors and learn about writing, editing and publishing in an intimate, casual environment.
